Are you looking for Christmas rubber stamps to decorate and personalise gift tags and cards for this Christmas? The current array of beautiful 2009 rubber stamps are just out now and they are creative in design that are made of either of rubber and sometimes wood that can be used for many arts and crafts.
By adding a stamp can make a simple card, wrapping or tag into a personalised piece of artwork that the user will take pride in no matter how young or old. The best part of using the stamps is that they are really simple and easy to use, and ensure that you or your child can use basic shapes and designs with a minimum of effort. What most people think you do with stamps is only dip it in paint and stamp away. A little known fact is that there are quite a few creative ways that you can apply to your artwork to get the most out of your stamp.
With Christmas around the corner and people start to think what can they give this person or that so it is personalised, I think it means so much more receiving a gift that someone has taken the time to make with love. A clever idea that I have used before is that you can use modelling clay that is easily purchased from craft stores, and what you do is mould the clay into something you want, and while the clay is soft you can imprint it with your stamp.
Dipping them in different colours of paint will also impress the paint into the clay along with the design. When happy with the look of your item just put on a couple of layers of glaze and put the clay into an oven. After it comes out of the oven you’ll have beautiful and creative piece of pottery that you made.
Another way to put your stamps to good use is to look at personalising vase, coffee mugs or t shirts look fantastic, or really any surface or material that can be used or worn to make it special. With your Christmas rubber stamp you will be able to give them a Christmas they will remember every time they either wear, or look at what you took the time to make for them. Anything you wear you can stamp shapes or spell out names or a clever phrase.
Even your little one will smile when he or she sees a favourite glass or top with their name on it. I bet you’ll see them use that glass or top over and over again. Another hint is to cover the mug with a coat of sealant so its dishwasher safe.
You are virtually only limited by your imagination when it comes to the uses of your rubber stamp. Just look around a room for many more ideas that are just waiting to take on a new lease of life. This project will have you and the kids having fun together as you prepare for the coming Christmas. Depending on the age of your little helper you may want to supervise them adding stamp patterns to butchers paper which can then wrap your Christmas gifts afterwards.

Making Christmas cards are really a labour of love to show someone you care and appreciate them. When it is time to send cards, you want to make sure that your card will pass the test and it also looks professional in order to give the person that it is meant for a thrill when they first open it to find that it is such a unique card you will not find 10,000 like it on line it is truly personalised, it’s made with love and it looks fantastic! With so many Christmas themed rubber stamps you will be spoilt for choice.
What I do when I first pick out a Christmas Rubber Stamp that I want featured on the front of the cards is that I tend to go for either the big and plain Xmas Rubber Stamp design and I build on it from there. I look for paper that is good quality that I buy from a good stationery shop, and I also get a few blank pieces of butcher’s paper along with some scrap paper.
I have a fishing box of knick knacks that I keep in my hobby room which has little compartments so I can have the rubber stamp sets in one section and buttons, string, diamantes, glue and other pieces that I use to make the cards all together in the one place. I use the scrap paper to plan and practice with rubber stamps that I will be using in the layout so I get it right before I use the design on the proper paper. I add the bits and pieces to the card slowly so I don’t overdo it. What is a good idea is that you look away from the design and then back again with fresh eyes.
Remember there is not an expert today that hasn’t started where you are right now, but I think one of the better things that have come out of stamping is the fact that they have kids rubber stamp kits, along with adults stamp sets. Any ideas that have families working together side by side and it’s fun too can’t be all that bad. Just enjoy the fun.
